James Cook School Enrolment Scheme Consultation 2021

Overview

The Ministry of Education has identified that James Cook School (Marton) is  likely to be overcrowded. In collaboration with the board, we have developed a proposed enrolment scheme under section 72 of the Education and Training Act 2020.

The proposed enrolment scheme and the proposed zone map are available below or from the school office.

Why your views matter

As part of this process we are formally consulting with the school’s community, iwi, and with people living in the area for which the school is a reasonably convenient school. The enrolment scheme could affect which school a student will be entitled to enrol in.

What happens next

Please provide any comments about the proposed enrolment scheme for James Cook School that you would like to be included in the final report.

Once all submissions have been collated, we will work with the James Cook School Board to make amendments deemed appropriate to address any concerns.

We will respond to each of the submissions in writing.
