Wanting to use the campus gym? Thinking of enrolling baby at the campus creche? Or have you been wanting to join a club?

There are heaps of different student services that tertiary education providers (such as polytechnics) can provide. These can include gyms, cheaper health services, legal advice, childcare, sports, cultural activities and many more. Some services are on-campus, others are off-campus and some are online.

From 2023, many apprentices and other work-based learners can access these services too!

Learners may need to pay a ‘student services fee’ that gives them access to all student services - this is currently a compulsory fee for campus-based learners. To be fairer to apprentices and other work-based learners, the Minister of Education is proposing to make the fee voluntary – that would let you decide if you want to pay to access these services.

Which services do you like the look of, and should your student service fees be voluntary or compulsory? Let us know what you think and go in to win a Prezzy card!
