Tauira Pasifika Tertiary Education Survey

Closed 31 Oct 2021

Opened 8 Oct 2021

Overview

This survey has been jointly created for Pacific tertiary students by Tauira Pasifika (the national Pacific tertiary students’ association) and the Ministry of Education, with support from the Tertiary Education Commission. It should take 10-15 minutes to complete.

We are doing this survey because we want to have a better understanding about what Pacific tertiary students need to succeed in education. To do this we are asking about all the different things that impact Pacific students' journeys before and during tertiary education. Your answers will help to develop a better understanding of the current Pacific tertiary student population, as well as providing information that will become relevant for Pacific students wanting to go into tertiary education in the future.

This survey will assist tertiary institutions, student associations and Government to improve their practices to better support Pacific tertiary students across Aotearoa to succeed. Results from this survey will also contribute to development of policy in Government and across the tertiary sector which is more responsive to the needs of Pacific learners.

Survey results will be shared between Tauira Pasifika and the Ministry of Education. We will produce and publish a report on our findings on Tauira Pasifika’s Facebook page, however, your identity and individual answers will not be shared publically. We will keep all your personal information secure. Any personal information you supply will only be used for the purpose for which it was provided or permitted by the Privacy Act 2020 and will not be disclosed to any third party except where necessary for the provision of services, or as authorised or required by law. You can read more about the Ministry of Education’s privacy policy here.
