Students who meet the criteria for enrolment in Te Tāhu Rua Reo and who reside within the Te Oraka home zone must be enrolled ahead of out-of-zone students. Out-of-zone students who meet the criteria for enrolment in Te Tāhu Rua Reo have priority in enrolment above all other out-of-zone students while special programme places are available.

All learners/ākonga who live within the home zones of Te Oraka will have an entitlement to attend the school. This amendment does not change the home zones already approved for the school.

The enrolment of out-of-zone students is governed by the provisions of the Education and Training Act 2020.

The amended enrolment scheme to include Te Tāhu Rua Reo is proposed to commence from 01 January 2024.
