Ministry of Education Decision: Midhirst School (2198) Enrolment Scheme
The Ministry of Education has now considered the comments and suggestions made by the community and discussed all the comments with the Midhirst School Board and senior staff at Midhirst School. A summary report outlining all consulation can be seen below.
The Ministry has decided to approve the Midhirst School Enrolment Scheme and has notified the school board that this effective from 1 January 2022.

Overview
In collaboration with the Midhirst School Board, The Ministry of Education has developed a proposed enrolment scheme for Midhirst School under section 72 of the Education and Training Act 2020.
The proposed enrolment scheme and the proposed zone map are available below or from the school office.
Why your views matter
As part of this process we are formally consulting with the school’s community, iwi, and with people living in the area for which the school is a reasonably convenient school. The enrolment scheme could affect which school a student will be entitled to enrol in.
What happens next
Please provide any comments about the proposed enrolment scheme for Midhirst School that you would like to be included in the final report.
Once all submissions have been collated, we will work with the Midhirst School Board to make amendments deemed appropriate to address any concerns.
