The Ministry of Education has now considered the comments and suggestions made by the community. A summary report outlining all consultation can be seen below.
The Ministry has decided to approve the Rawhitiroa School Enrolment Scheme and has notified the school board that this effective from 1 January 2023.

Overview
In collaboration with the Rawhitiroa School Board, Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga | The Ministry of Education has developed a proposed enrolment scheme for Rawhitiroa School.

Why your views matter
As part of this process we are formally consulting with whānau, hāpu, iwi, and with all people living in the area for which the school is a reasonably convenient school. Please note, the enrolment scheme could affect which school a student will be entitled to enrol in.
What happens next

Once all submissions have been collated, we will work with the Rawhitiroa School Board to make amendments deemed appropriate to address any concerns.
