The Ministry of Education is undertaking a review of the Early Learning Regulatory System (the Review), to ensure it is clear and fit for purpose to support high quality education and care outcomes for young children.
This survey is on proposals to amend the Education (Early Childhood Services) Regulations 2008 as part of tranche two of the Review. The proposals relate to:
adding new conditions to a provisional licence;
defining ‘permanently ceased to operate’ for the purpose of cancelling a licence;
providing for services to be able to temporarily close; and
defining ‘locally-based’ for persons responsible in licensed home-based education and care services.
For more details on the proposals please read the discussion documents and/or summaries here.
The survey will take about 20-30 minutes. You can also complete the survey in te reo Māori by clicking here.
